Weary Wednesday

Rocky: I'm getting very weary of Mr. Milky taking over my house and my catporation. Look at him, making happy feet all over my couch where my staff and I used to sit with my human artist, making Artsy Catsy products, watching political conventions on TV, having a beer with Jim, getting scritches and treats ...
No more! He gets it all ... while I've been relegated to a recliner in the dining room with an old sheet thrown over it ...
Fracas is on strike, refusing to come out of the bedroom ...
And Callie says she's never getting out of her bed on our mom's desk, so I can't get any work out of her, either ...
Oh, sure, the human artists are trying to introduce us to each other. They rub a towel on that stinky Milky thing, then rub it on us, then rub it on him again ... Yuck! And sometimes they put Milky into the big cage they put in the living room and then let the rest of us go into the room ...

... then they try to put us in that cage and let Milky roam around. Hey, NO WAY!!

But no matter what they do, Milky is a street tomcat who yowls and wants to tear out our furs when he sees us - especially me. I've tried to be friends with him, but he's having none of it. My mom says he might calm down once he's free of those hoo-hahs ... but I have my doubts. I'm trying to prepare her, because I'm thinking Milky may need a furever home that doesn't have other cats in it.

  1. you nefur know Rocky. we unnerstand that hoo-ha's take ofur our brains until they're gone and then we can start thinking clearly. Your mom is doing all the right things, but you're never going to know until those hoo-has are gone

  2. I feel for ya Rocky, and all of the staff. Once those hoohaas are off, the Milky Smiler will settle down and quickly too I think. He's been a street cat see and he's new to house and corporate manners. So keep hanging on in there, and roll on hoohaa removal.

Mr Milky does look sweet making the happy paws though ;)

  3. Rocky, we know that having Mr. Milky around may not seem like fun but give it some time. You never know...

We're going through the same thing now...except our problem is that she-devil Zoey! She doesn't like me much either.

  4. We agree with the Meezers and Whicky Wuudler. Once those hoohaas have gone, he'll have nothing to fight over, so he should start to be more sociable with the rest of you. How is he when he sees the ladycats?

  5. Good luck with that Rocky. That's a hard one. Mr. Milky doesn't know how great he has it. But maybe without hoo has he'll start thinking more clearly...

  8. Down with the hoohaas and Mr Milky should change. It made Shadow into a mellow Mancat that he is now. And also, the mom couldnt stand the squirting he was doing *peeeyew&

  13. You poor thing - just an old sheet to lie on. Tsk tsk. ;-)

    I hope the hoohahectomy works!

  14. Things will get better soon Rocky. You and your staff are doing a very good thing by helping Mr. Milky. I know he appreciates it.

  15. I agreez with everyone else about his hoohahs, just wait and see what a new kitteh he is!
Iz natural that he is yelling and gettin angry at the other mens, coz he wants nookie! It's in built in his hoohas.
Gee wiz, even I ( with my hoohas long gone) still try to hump momma and daddas legs, feet, arms, anything that sits still long enough, and I can't even "do" anything.
Have patience and wait and see, you might love him without them, I mean how could you not? :)

  16. Ohh p.s. My real Cat dadda, his momma gets some sort of shot from the vet for him from time to time coz he is a stud cat and he has his hoohas, and his momma says it really calms him down, stops his yellin' and spraying etc.
Might be something you can ask your vet about till he gets his hoohas off? :)

  17. Poor Artsy Catsies... I hate to mention it (cause I love the Milkster like everyone does) but in some lights doesn't Milky look a bit... smug. Hopefully the hoo-ha-ectomy will settle him right down and turn that smirk into a smile.

  21. Mr. Milky will calm down once those...umm...hoo hahs are gone. He is so cute. We hope everyone can learn to get along.

  22. Well, we will hope for things to calm down once the hoo-hahs are gone....but if they don't we are certain your beans will find Mr. Milky a lovely new home.

We will be purring for the best.

  23. He has such an adorable face. I fink that once he is hoo-haa less, he will be efen more lovable and sweet.

  24. I think this will all work out. Eventually. But this old sheet business must stop. Tell your humans that you must sleep on the bed in the middle.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I do not blame you all for feeling a little bit discombobulated. I hope things will settle down after Mr. Milky has his... er... procedure.

  26. Milky is so handsome and he's been getting so much attention - attention he wasn't getting before while you were. So you're probably jealous of each other's position in the house now. And counting scritches.

We're looking for things to get better eventually.

  27. Our cousin Tucker was 8 months old when Mom found him almost deaded. Once Mom threw about $500 at him he was finally well enough for his hoohaectomy, so he had his hoohas lots longer than the rest of us and had already started spraying.

It's been about 3 years now. He's still a bit aggressive and territorial, mostly he's always on the defensive. He will also spray inside the house occasionaly so our Uncle has to use the carpet cleaning monster a lot.

Including Tucker there are 3 males and 1 female who live there, plus an intact older male from the neighborhood who helps himself to foodies and the patio furniture all the time.

This was a long way of saying, Mr. Milky may eventually find his place in Artsy Catsy, but he will definitely change the dynamic.

  28. Rocky, do you think that maybe with a little time and some love, Mr. Milky could join your crew? Who knows he may turn out to be a very productive kitty!

  29. Rocky, hopefully things will settle down once either Mr. Milky has his hoo haas removed or he finds a forever home. It is sad that you have been relegated to a sheet!

  30. You are such good guys! I know you are just talking the talk but secretly you love helping a cat in need! I am sure if he does not calm down once his "things" are gone that the human will look for another home for him! On the other hand - you might miss him....!

  31. You should find out in about a week how Mr. Milky acts without his hoo-hahs. Just hang in there, Rocky. Things are bound to get better.

  32. Like everyone else, we're looking forward to heaing that Mr Milky has had his little 'operation' - hang in there Rocky - things will definitely get better after Milky is minus his hoohaas. Hope things are better for your family healthwise now,
