Mr. Milky: "I'm home!!"

Mr. Milky: I got to come back to Artsy Catsy yesterday evening, after almost a week at the vet hospital. Here I am on my way home ... I'm so happy to be loved that I don't even need a PTU; I just cuddled up and purred on my adoptive mom's lap ... Ahhh, yes, life is good ... even if I do have big blue stitches in my feets ...
I have to go back to the vet next week, but Dr. Shew says I can't get my vaccinations and hoohahectomy for at least four weeks. In the meantime, I get to stay in the Artsy Catsy living room, with all kinds of luxuries! I have a fleece pillow ...
And even though Dr. Shew gave me a bath, I'm washing and washing so I can get handsome again ...

And I have a nice, soft rug ...

And I'm getting lots of big, squishy cuddles ...

I even got a nip mousie as a get-well present, but I was scared to death of it!!

I'm trying to be very good, but I think I'm making some problems. They have a big cage in the living room for me, with a nice bed, my food and litter pan, but last night they gave me a chance to stay out of it. But my hoohahs made me spray all over the Artsy Catsy living room, and then I pooed and peed right in the middle of the couch ... oops, I think I blew it. Now I might have to go in the cage whenever someone isn't in the living room with me, but I don't mind.

And the Artsy Catsy kitties don't like me. The humans are trying to keep things calm by giving us all Bach's Rescue Remedy and Pet Naturals Calming Treats, and spraying At Ease Natural Herbal Calming Spray around the house and giving everybody lots of attention and nip. But Rocky is very upset ...

Rocky: Please let me come into my living room. Got Milk? Hah, I got WAY too much Milk! Milk has taken over my blog, my living room, my pillow, my rug, my couch and my mom's lap. I know real mancats don't cry, but ... well ... boohoohoohoo! :-(

  1. It's hard for a mancat. Harper and Uncle Sid have written up a gentleman's agreement, so I hope Rocky can do the same. After the hoo haa ectomy maybe things will be calmer, right now, everyone is claiming territory.

  2. Oh Rocky! You look as sad as Mr. Milky does happy. We sure hope everything can be worked out with all of you. Especially the spraying part...

  4. I am happy that Mr Milky is home and feeling better.
The house is new to him, so Milky wants to mark his territory. He needs to feel comfy 'cause getting fixed will not always stop spraying :(
I hope things settle down Rocky, and you and Milky can get along.

  5. Oh Milky! You look 150% better already! I hope you can figure out proper indoors behavior soon so that you can be left out of that cage lots more.

I also have my paws crossed that the other kitties will come to love your handsome and special self.

Rocky, I know it is hard, especially for an overworked mancat like you, but do you think you can give Milky a chance?

  6. Hey Milky... it'll all be OK soon.
Hey Rocky... the same to you!
For different reasons, plus we are girls (!)... we went through the anxiety-disorder-period of not liking one another. It lasted almost 4-months to our humans dismay... but as with all things in life... time works wonders.

  7. Oh, Mr. Milky looks wonderful. We are so sorry that the other kitties are having a tough time adjusting. With FIVE of us, we had that problem too. But we got over it in time.

We haven't felt like blogging all week. But we had to stop by and say hi!

    Purrs.

  8. Mr Milky!!! You look so much better!!!! WOO HOOO!!!! Don't worry Mr Milky, spraying is normal, and you has to get used to using a litterbox and stuff (and the mom lady person is trying to get ME to stop peeing on the bed too, and ME is formerly feral). It was your ferst night back so they will haf to cut you some slack. Rocky is hafing a prollem 'acause you still has your hoo-has and he is alpha cat and it's a hard thing. Hopefully all the calming stuff will werk. In the mean time Rocky buddy, come over to the m-cats club and haf some more niptinis on us!!!

  9. Hi Mr Milky, it's good to see you home and looking SO much better. I'm sorry to hear you have had a few spraying events, but I guess when the hoo ha's are out of the equation and you have settled a bit, you won't be doing this. It'll take you some time to learn the house rules too, but I think you are one smart fella, seeing as you picked a porch owned by great people to turn up on. All the best to you fella!

  11. Mr. Milky, since you are not used to living Inside yet, I think you just need to study real, real hard to learn the rules. The first rule to learn is how to use a litterbox. It is only a little bit hard. I think the no-spraying rule will be easier to learn once you have had your hoohaectomy.

I am very glad to see you grooming and feeling better!

  12. OMC's Mr Milky you is so handsome! I am so happy for you. Proper indoor behaviour comes in time, but I know you are smart and will figure it out.

    ~ Molly ~

Rocky, dude, you have to just let it slide off your back. I know its hard to accept an intruder but perhaps he will be your biggest ally in the house. Give it a try and has some more nip.

  13. Mr. Milky - you look so much better than you did, you are a handsome dude, but I think those hoo-haz need to go as soon as they can. I think everybody, especially Rocky is gonna' feel much better then!

  15. Rocky, I purrsonally feel fur ya dude. When dey brawt Sadie in here I was livid...furst of all she was not fixed and second of all she was not my frend Punkin. I hated her, she hated me and it looked like mom was gonna hafta give us each our own part of da house furever. Den Speedy came along, he is such a mellow guy dat us gerls both loved him right away. Now we tolerate each other (mostly) so we don't upset him. I still wish sometimes dey would get rid of dat stupid Sadie. She is such a b*tch.~Zippy
Ah Rocky, what's one more. We sure hope after Milky gets his hoohaectomy things settle down. Ya know, I find dat a little nip and a lot of mommy loves help me relax.~Speedy

  16. Oh, Rocky, we're sad for you. It's tough to be the CEO and be left out of major decisions. But things will get better.

And Milky, welcome home! Home is now indoors, so a litterbox is the preferred - no, THE bathroom to use.

  17. Oh, poor Rocky, you look so sad! I hope that you and Milky will get to be friends. I was so glad to hear that the surgery went well and, well, look at Milky's happy face!

Willow and I are sending over hugs to all of you! Especially big ones for you both, Rocky and Milky!

  25. Rocky that is some sad cat face. Milky's had a rough time but as soon as things settle down you can show him the ropes. he seems like a cat who could take directions.

  26. It's okay for mancats to cry, Rocky! I'd be crying too if some floofy cat tried to take over my living room... like she already does!

Hope that Mr. Milky gets better soon!

  27. Rocky, dude, you've got every right. It's hard when new fellas come over. Mr. Milky, that sprayin' thing kind makes the folks wig out a little..try to keep it on the down low, m'kay?

  28. Whoa, Rocky--I've just caught up on the exciting events at Artsy Catsy! Mr. Milky sounds like a nice guy who's just down on his luck--hopefully once he gets the hoo-hahs gone and has some more time to bathe, he won't be so objectionable.

  29. Now da ways I sees it, deer handsum Milky, is dat you iz furry nurvous... when kittees gets furry nervous our back parts dont always obey our head parts!

Mawmee say dat Kitty (my namesake who wents to da rainbow brij same day I got founded) woulds somtimes be furry nurvous comin homes frum da vet and she just goes poo rites in da car! Tings like dis happens wif outdoor kittees.

I tinks dats what happened wif you. you waz holdin all dat in cuz you waznt outsides. den you gotted tinkin dat out uv da cage waz outsides!! Cuz you was in cages all week!

Now outsides gots grass and durt... couches dont hafs grass and durt.

Dey may smell like da catsy staff or a bean who mites haf hads durts or grass on dem. But you cant eat couches and dey dont gets you durtee ifns you rolls rounds on dem.

So dats how you tells da diffurense. Hope dat helps.

    - Katie Too.

Now Mr. Rocky, I happen to know that you can still be Alpha cat at 19 wif lots of other cats dat stays or goes. I been doin dis a longs time. You can do dis patient ting, too.

So how do I stay da furst even ifns Ize tired and feeling elderly? Cuz Mommy says so!

I been wif Mommy a longs time, and I knows my rights. And sohs I dont worry. I just be happy.

    - Spunky Boo Bear.
