Meezer & Manx Mancats

Ivan: Rocky is a blog hog! Oscar and I are taking over our blog and declaring today Meezer & Manx Mancat Monday, so we can introduce the featured Rescue Farm kitty for adoption that Rocky was supposed to do on Saturday Adopt-a-Caturday!
Oscar: Right on, Ivan! Just because Rocky has a tail, he thinks he can speak for us. Personally, I think tails are a nuisance - just something else to be washed, and wagged all the time - what a bother!
That's why I'm honored to introduce this week's Rescue Farm kitty who needs a loving, furever home ... the tail-less wonder ....
Yogi

Yogi is a 3-4 year old sweet boy who came to the Rescue Farm with a tumor on his tail. The vet was worried about it spreading, so his tail was removed last week to make sure that Yogi will live a long, wonderful life!

Yogi loves other cats, and he loves kids, and he would be a really great footwarmer on these cold winter nights. Why? Because he weighs 18 pounds!

This gorgeous guy is neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea-treated, and is Felv/FIV negative. And without that bothersome tail, he’s perfect, don’t you think? And guess what? You can see Yogi in loving action in his own video here (before his tailectomy)

His adoption fee is $60. If you know someone who would love to give Yogi a furever home, please email Jodi at the Rescue Farm!

Meezer Monday

I want to share with you my beautiful applehead sealpoint who crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 1999. Her name was Millard and her sister's name was Fillmore. (My daughter, at a very creative age, named them!) Sadly, we lost Fillmore when she was only 2 years old, but Millard lived with me for almost 23 precious years!

Millard was the most loving, intelligent kitty I've ever known. She knew my feelings better than I knew them myself, and catered to them. She accepted change in her life with such grace, and loved all other cats, dogs or any other creatures we brought into our home. She taught herself, completely on her own and much to my amazement, to use the human bathroom! She loved to ride in the car, loved to run errands with me and drive across country to visit my daughter in college (she stayed in the dorm.) She would also sneak out and climb into neighbors' cars to surprise them when they reached the grocery, pharmacy, office ...
There are so many memories. Millard enriched my life in so many ways for so long, and I still miss her dearly.
