Meezer Monday

I want to share with you my beautiful applehead sealpoint who crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 1999. Her name was Millard and her sister's name was Fillmore. (My daughter, at a very creative age, named them!) Sadly, we lost Fillmore when she was only 2 years old, but Millard lived with me for almost 23 precious years!

Millard was the most loving, intelligent kitty I've ever known. She knew my feelings better than I knew them myself, and catered to them. She accepted change in her life with such grace, and loved all other cats, dogs or any other creatures we brought into our home. She taught herself, completely on her own and much to my amazement, to use the human bathroom! She loved to ride in the car, loved to run errands with me and drive across country to visit my daughter in college (she stayed in the dorm.) She would also sneak out and climb into neighbors' cars to surprise them when they reached the grocery, pharmacy, office ...
There are so many memories. Millard enriched my life in so many ways for so long, and I still miss her dearly.

Millard was beautiful. I am glad that you had 23 wonderful years with such a special cat. She must have been really smart, too, to teach herself to use the human bathroom and to know just what you needed and when.

Wow. Millard was a beautiful girl and sounds very sweet and special. How wonderful you had her for 23 years (although mommy said 230 years isn't enough when it comes to pets!). She is the one who had FIV like me right? That gives my mommy lotsa smiles to know you had her for so long.

What a beautiful, intelligent looking cat! 23 is a lot of years; no wonder you still miss her. My woman still misses the firstest cat, and he's been gone 20 years.

Oh, she was lovely. I can really relate to your story. About three years ago I adopted an applehead who was born with a cleft palate had been severely abused (like parts of him missing). Niwa as I call him, has been a wonderful companion and his gentle personality and friendly nature make hima favorite with everyone. I just can't imagine anyone ever wanting to hurt him. Bless your for giving Millard and Fillmore happy homes for all their lives. I'm sure she watches you even now and thinks how much she loves you
