Warm & Wonderful Wednesday

Rocky here, but shhhh. It's very cold here today, so my mom set up a special place for our geriatricat Callie and we don't want to wake her while she warms her achy old bones ....

But I want to quietly thank all my blogging friends for giving us such a happy day yesterday on my sisterbean Tiffany's birthday and making my family feel as warm inside as Callie. Even though my mom lives in the US and Tiffany lives in Italy, your love brought them together! You gave Tiffany such a wonderful surprise when she was showered with birthday greetings from all over the world ... more birthday wishes than she's ever received on any birthday of her life!

I was eavesdropping when my mom called Tiffany last night at the exact moment she was born, 7:34 pm (1:34 am Rome time!) and all they could talk about was YOU, my wonderful friends!

I worried that it would be a sad day, and there would be flood disasters with my mom's eyes leaking all over the US and Tiffany's leaking all over Rome. Oh, they leaked all right, but it was happy leaks, not sad ones! My mom says she used to feel lonely because Tiffany is so far away and because she's lost so many loved ones in the last few years ... but now that she's been blessed with all of you, our wonderful kitty-loving blogging family, she'll never be lonely again!

Happy Birthday, Tiffany!

Today is my beansister Tiffany's birthday!

But Tiffany lives in Italy, and she and my mom are so sad they can't be together today. They couldn't be together for my mom's November birthday, or for Christmas, or for New Year's Eve, and now this :-( Tiffany is an only child and my mom was a single parent since Tiffany was 2 years old. They've always been together ....

They loved woofies together - this is Tiffany with Alfie who came before: They learned things together:

Mostly they just love being together:

But now it's Tiffany's birthday and they can't be together and they're very sad. So I was thinking ...

If all my blogging friends would send Tiffany birthday wishes, it would help show her how very loved she is, and how much we wish she and our mom could be together today! If she gets birthday wishes from all over the world, Tiffany and our mom could see that the world is not too big for love to bring everyone together!

FBI Alert: Rocky Impersonator!!

Tigger the FBI Cat, I need your help! A Rocky impersonator is trying to steal my identity and kittynap my mom! Here's hard evidence for your investigation into this catpital crime ... The suspect was last seen pawing my mom, I repeat, MY mom, at 4:23 pm EST at PetSmart, where she was helping the Rescue Farm find furever homes for their kitties. I captured the incident on my spy camera:

Exhibit A:

This perp is a repeat offender! In a second offense, this imposter was caught making curly-toed happy feet on my mom ... I repeat ... MY MOM!!

Exhibit B:

The suspect in the Rocky disguise is a young white male with ginger spots. He is an alleged habitual user of cuteness to lure unsuspecting moms, then he kittynaps them! He is considered to be pawed and dangerous! Tigger, you must set up a stakeout at PetSmart and apprehend this heinous imposter before he steals into my home and cat burglarizes my Temptations and commits mom theft!!

Phew, now that Tigger is on the case, I can relax and report some good news. Remember Yogi, the Rescue Farm kitty we first featured on Saturday Adopt-a-Caturday? Yogi found a wonderful furever home yesterday at PetSmart (while that fake Rocky was pawing MY mom)! Here he is with his loving new beans:
Look, he's so happy he's going home, he has a big smile on his face:But Punkin, this week's featured kitty, didn't find a furever home yesterday. Jodi from the Rescue Farm says it's hard to find homes for polydactyl kitties :-( My mom tried to convince a literature teacher at PetSmart to adopt Punkin -- after all, he is a Hemingway cat -- but she chose another kitty instead. Poor Punkin, this was his first day at PetSmart, and he didn't like it very much:
He just huddled in his cage and smashed his face against the glass (while that phony Rocky held MY mom hostage!) I hope Punkin finds a furever home soon ... and Tigger puts that fraudulent Rocky on the Feline Bureau of Investigation's Most Wanted List and gets him out of circulation ASAP!!!

Annie & Mao, where are you?

Annie has been missing from Krasota Castle Cats since Thursday night. Her heartbroken mom and dad are searching for her all day today, in their neighborhood and at shelters and vets. Mao, Skeezix's big brother, has been missing since Wednesday.

If all kitties, critters & beans post these graphics of Annie and Mao on our blogs today, and send squillions of purrs & prayers, maybe Annie and Mao will hear and come home right away.

Punkin the polydactyl

Punkin is a sweet little 3-year-old polydactyl cat who has a temporary home at the Rescue Farm. He has lots of toes (see that extra toe behind the mousie?) and lots of love to give! His brother, Fat Joe, has been adopted so Punkin is very lonely and longs for his own furever home.

Punkin is neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea-treated and Felv/FIV negative. His adoption fee is $60. If you, or someone you know, would love to have some extra toes to come home to, just email Jodi at the Rescue Farm!

Frenzied Friday

Rocky here and wow! Sometimes the cat blogosphere is such an exciting place you just find yourself in a total feline frenzy ... so much fun ... so little time! First, we're working on a fun contest for everykitty! I'm putting together some great prizes and working out the details, so stay tuned! We might need help from somekitty who isn't as graphically-differently-abled as we are, and who isn't a cyberdunce like my mom! Any volunteers?

And we just flew back from Antarctica, where aboard a magnificent cruise ship, Karl & Ruis honored Miss Peach on her birthday. It was fabulous and the lovely Miss Peach was even more beautiful than ever:

We got back from Antarctica just in time to welcome our famous AstronautiCat friends Sassy and Momo back to Earth after they completed their secret mission to repair the space shuttle:

Big concatulations to Daisy and Flynn, who won first and second honors for discovering the nature of this top secret mission! And we want to thank Sassy & MoMo for giving us this Participation Award (I've always said my staff is a bunch of space cadets!):

Phew! Okay, last but not least, I had to get all our shopping done because my mom has to go have a bone scan today and then get anesthetic and cortisone shots in her neck where Mr. Arthur Itis has been hitting her. I don't like that guy!!

Thursday 13

13 things I stick my nose into: 1) I stick my nose into my human artists' home remodeling projects. My nose helps sweep up the dirt and dust.

2) I stick my nose into all the humans' beading projects. Somebody has to make them do it right!

3) I wedge my nose into the closed door when somebody rings the doorbell.

4) I have a nose for news, so I bury it in the newspaper.

5) When my mom is on the phone, I wedge my newsy nose between her ear and the phone receiver, so I can hear everything first!

6) I stick my nose under the blankets at night so I can keep my human artist's feet warm.

7) I stuff my nose into the floor of the PTU when I go to the v.e.t. so I can disappear!

8) I stick my nose into my human's bath water so I can clean it up from sticking it into everything else!

9) I stick it into the sink water so I can be absolutely certain the water filter is working.

10) I stick my nose into the freezer when it's opened, so I can guarantee that my human has prepared an adequate amount of homemade catfood for me.

11) I stick my nose into all food preparation, whether it be for my cat staff or for the humans.

12) I stick my nose into all bags of catfood the humans purchase to make sure there's no poisoned wheat gluten or other stinky badness! ....

13) ... Well, I stick my nose into everything the humans do, make or even get near. I mean, they're only human, the poor things ... so somebody has to double check their work!
