Raffle for Moki!

Rocky: Phew! Lots of stuff is going on here. First, Callie seems better this morning, so we think your purrs & purrayers are working! The main problem she's having now is with her claws filed down, she keeps falling down when she tries to jump on the furniture. She has to stay separated from the rest of us for a few days, so she's staying in my mom's bedroom. My mom has moved her computer in there and has put chairs beside the desk, the bed, and all the other furniture so Callie can jump up safely. I'll sure be glad when I can go back in there and sleep with my mom, too!

Next, our good friend Moki is still having serious health problems and his vet bills are already more than $700, with more to come. Right now 20% of every purchase you make from Artsy Catsy's Gallery goes to Moki and Criz Cats, but we want to do more to help Moki, so we're raffling one of my mom's hand-beaded Crazy Cat Lady necklaces and earrings. We haven't put these up for sale yet, so if you win this one, you'll be the proud owner of the original Artsy Catsy Crazy Cat Lady!

You can purchase your Crazy Cat Lady raffle tickets at Artsy Catsy Gallery, and 100% of the proceeds will given to Moki.

Next, I'm getting ready to host Carnival of the Cats this Sunday ... ... but I'd like to ask a favor. My human artists are going out of town Sunday to their father's (my Grandpa Bob) 79th. birthday party, and we want to get the Carnival ready Saturday night, so if you could get your Carnival posts to me as early as possible, that would be great! You can submit your posts here.

I want to thank you so much for all your purrs & purrayers for Grandpa Bob since August. He has finished his radiation therapy for prostate cancer and came through it with no difficulties. At the end of this month he has followup tests, but he says he's positive the radiation worked and his tests results will be good, because he feels fine! YAY!

Oh, and here's what else is up: My mom is kittysitting with Mr. Milky the rest of this week while his new DadStan is out of town. She's going out to his new home twice a day to feed him and visit with him, so you'll be hearing lots from Mr. Milky the next few days! Maybe I can get him to help me with Carnival of the Cats!

Mancat Monday and Hold the Glasses

Rocky: I ask you, is this any way to treat a mancat? ...

I am a mancat of many talents, but I am NOT an eyeglass holder! After years of such mistreatment, I ordered my human artists to come up with a better way to keep track of their glasses. And I told them to make a bunch of them to put on sale so we could raise some much-needed funds for Moki and Criz. Here's what they did ...

We have unique eyeglass holders that can also be used as badge holders, or just worn as a necklace ...

We have only 13 of these and there may never be any more because the company stopped making these beautiful cat charms we used ... We also have traditional eyeglass holders ... You can see them all at the Artsy Catsy Gallery. They're on sale until Nov. 26, and 20% of all proceeds will be sent to Moki and Criz.

Easy Like Sunday - for Moki

Rocky: It may look like I'm just taking it easy ...But what I'm really doing is focusing, meditating, purring, purraying and sending positive healing thoughts to our dear friend Moki.Moki has a terrible urinary tract infection and he may not recover. We just can't let that happen, so everyone please send all your most heartfelt purrs & purrayers to Moki, Mom Crystal and Orange Boy.
And don't forget, our sale to help both Moki and Criz ends tonight at midnight so you can still get a bargain on Napkin Rings & Wine Glass Charms, Hair Bands and Keychains and help some special kitties, too. But we want to keep helping, so right now 20% of every purchase you make from Artsy Catsy will be sent to Moki and Criz ... and we're putting up some brand new things tomorrow that we think you'll love!

We're Back!!

Rocky: Humph. The human artists got home last night after leaving us for four days to market Artsy Catsy creations at a cat show. As CEO of this operation I approved this marketing strategy, but it is NOT necessary for our slaves to leave us for FOUR days when the cat show was only TWO days! So I've made it my personal task to stand guard over their overnight cases to prevent them from doing this again ...

I've missed you all SO much, and just as soon as I get some updating out of the way, I'm going to be stopping by to see you all! I can't wait!

First, I want to let you know that Mr. Milky hasn't moved in with Stan yet, so he's still with us. And pretty soon he's going to be as big as me! We're still planning his going away party, so I'll keep you updated!

Next, I want to show you some pictures from the cat show ... but be warned - some of them are really irritating! For instance, just look at the Rocky impersonators who were there trying to steal my mom away from me ...

Oh sure, this one has some black spots, but he's still trying to impersonate me:

And even though this one smooshed his face, he's still trying to impersonate me: There was even a Mr. Milky impersonator:

And a Lux impersonator!

When they weren't drooling over these imposters, the human artists displayed some of our new products. We're going to put them all up for Christmas shopping in a few days on ArtsyCatsyGallery.blogspot.com, and each week donate 10% of the proceeds to the Cat Blogosphere kitty who needs it most. Here's a sneak preview ...

CRAZY CAT LADY NECKLACES & EARRINGS ...

KITTY NAPKIN RINGS & WINEGLASS CHARMS ...

EYEGLASS / BADGE HOLDER NECKLACES ...
Fun artwork like this LITTER PAN SCREEN ...
Lots of new bookmarks, cell phone charms, ceiling fan pulls, keychains ...

... and hairbands and jewelry and lots more, coming up in just a couple of days! We can't wait to show you and try to raise some funds for our friends in need ... but right now I need to go help my human artist unpack the car and then I'm heading straight for the Cat Blogosphere to check up on all my friends and come over to visit you!

Personalized Photo Christmas Ornaments

Since my human artist won't let me climb the Christmas tree, I've figured a way to outsmart her: I put myself in a Personalized Photo Christmas Ornament and gave myself a place of honor on that tree ... want me to do the same for you? But they're not just for cats ... I'll personalize yours with pictures of woofies, other pets, or even humans. Maybe you'd like to give one to your v.e.t. as a reminder to be extra gentle with you?

And don't forget ... as with all Artsy Catsy products, 10% of your order will be donated to Cat Friends Helping Friends at the Cat Blogosphere, and 10% will be donated to the Rescue Farm!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS!

From Sharolyn: Rocky has relinquished our blog to me for the next week so I can announce some exciting activities here at Artsy Catsy. We've been very busy organizing new programs, creating new products … and capturing and finding refuge for the mama of the four feral kittens (here, here and here) we most recently rescued, along with two more of her kits.

Artsy Catsy’s mission is to help raise funds for kitties in need by offering artistic creations by cat lover for cat lovers. We’re pleased to announce two new ways to get those funds into the paws of the cats who most need them:

Cat Friends Helping Friends

We've been working with Robyn at the Cat Blogosphere, and we're excited to announce that, as of today, Artsy Catsy will donate 10% of all sales from our blog to Cat Friends Helping Friends to help blogging cats and families in need!

We hope that over time, as we launch our web site and expand Artsy Catsy, this will evolve into a substantial ongoing donation!

The Rescue Farm

As you know, Rocky has forbidden me from hiring any more cat staff members, so it's been a constant battle to find homes for the cats and kittens that we rescue here at Artsy Catsy. A few months ago I discovered the Rescue Farm, a non-profit no-kill rescue working to end euthanasia of adoptable animals. It's an unbelievably lovely organization run by a couple, Jodi (a former v.e.t. tech) and her husband Matt, who have dedicated their lives to becoming the "Best Friends" of the midwest. I've posted a few photos here, with lots more to come.

Artsy Catsy will donate an additional 10% of our proceeds to help the Rescue Farm with their important work.

Although they don't usually accept animals from the general public, Matt and Jodi gave the feral kittens we recently rescued a loving home on their 40-acre Rescue Farm. And this week they'll be welcoming with open arms the very feral mama of those four kittens, along with two more from her last litter. The Rescue Farm works diligently to arrange adoptions for their rescues, but in the case of ferals, they spay/neuter, give them vet care, and provide them with a loving home on their farm. From January through October of this year alone, Jodi and Matt have found loving homes for more than 650 cats and dogs.

I knew the Rescue Farm was a very special place when I met the blind horse they rescued and its rescued seeing-eye cow! I'll be telling you this special story this week, as I post lots of pictures and information so you can get to know the wonderful people at the Rescue Farm and meet some of their rescued animals. And every Friday we'll be featuring one of their kitties who needs a home!

Exciting New Products for Cat Lovers!

The biggest shopping day of the year, the day after Thanksgiving ("Black Friday" ) is almost upon us. To quickly start raising funds for the Rescue Farm and the Cat Blogosphere -- and to help you shop for Christmas without getting crushed in mall stampedes -- starting Thanksgiving evening, we're going to feature some great new gifts and Christmas items for all you cat lovers and the cats you love!

So try to visit us lots this next week, even though it's going to be a busy one for all of us! And please accept my apology for so blatantly inviting you to shop, but we'll use one-fifth of everything you spend to help your kitties and friends!

Pink Auction for Lilly Lu

Artsy Catsy is auctioning the following items to help pay Lilly Lu's vet bills. Please leave your bids in the comments. The auction will end at midnight Monday (Eastern time).

Thank you so much for helping! As of noon today, Lilly still won't eat and her Mama Laura must force-feed her with a syringe in order to give the 3 liver medications she's taking time to work. Lilly is so very sick, and her vet bills so far are almost $900.

Welcome message from the CEO (Cat Executive Officer)

Ahem. Attention please. My name is Rocky and I'm the CEO of ArtsyCatsy. And I'm not just caterwauling here ... this is serious business. This household consists of fifteen artsy cats against four artsy humans, and the majority decided it's time those four got to work. So we're training them to start an online business, and we named it after us ...

ArtsyCatsy.com: Artistic Creations by Cat Lovers for Cat Lovers

Don't even think we don't know what we're doing. Me, for instance - Head Honcho Alpha Male Numero Uno ArtsyCat. Because I have an MFA (Master of Feline Arts) and because I'm the biggest and the baddest, I have long experience as the boss of everything. I'm The Decider, no matter what you might hear on TV ... and right now I've decided to take a nap. But I'll be back when I feel like it. When I'm good and ready, I'll introduce you to my cat staff and our three human peons. Then you can watch what happens when cats get down to business.
